The Sea Bunny (Coastal Rabbit) Painting Series

The Coastal Rabbit painting series is loosely based on rabbits’ lives along the ocean, here on the New England coast. Although I live a bit inland, we have a plethora of rabbits living in the countryside here,  amongst the farms and fields. Daily, they are seen chasing each other around in our gardens. That was the inspiration for the series.

Magic The Rabbit

Magic the Rabbit was the very first in this collectors series. This is a 24” x 24” acrylic on panel, fine art painting that has been sold to a wonderful collector in New Hampshire. There are a couple other versions of this one.

Calico Rabbit in the Tulips - Gail Allen

One painting,  being my Calico Rabbit. This is an 8” x 10” acrylic and gouache, done on a cradled birch panel. Similar but slightly different than the original “Magic” version. (Please Click on the gold name below each painting,  to be taken by the direct link for each piece, to its location on my website -  for more insights, or to purchase. )

Keeper of the Light Sea Bunny is an acrylic gouache painting in a new series of rabbit paintings. A true Sea Bunny is actually the name for a round, fluffy, cute little sea creature not an actual land bunny.  Known to be like a slug in the sea,  they belong to the group of mollusks and were discovered by a Japanese biologist. Being that I live and work near the ocean and we have rabbits in our yard daily,  my story developed into what it is today.
